The Resonance Retreat

Waking up to what calls us

What if pain wasn’t a problem to be solved? What if met with tenderness, it could be a portal to the underlying vibration of love?

WHAT MOVES US?

An intimate weekend retreat to listen for what calls us

A note by itself isn’t music.

It becomes music when it is in relationship.

In much the same way - Meaning takes shape between the notes of relationship.

Relationship with ourselves. With each other. With the world around us. Relationship with something beyond.

Victor Frankl talked about how we can endure any how if we have a why. Our why has to do with meaning. And often we want to ignore the role of pain in that relationship.

As a psychiatrist, I’ve spent years sitting with suffering. Sometimes suffering needs relief.

Sometimes it’s also a signal.

A quiet insistence that something matters.

Beneath pain, there is often longing. For connection. Creativity. Belonging. Meaning.

Maybe our longing knows something.

This weekend is an invitation to listen.

To explore resonance…what happens when something reaches us, and something within us answers.

Music. Nature. Art. Conversation. Silence. Good food. Laughter. Ritual. Play.

And tenderness.

Enough, perhaps, to loosen our grip on having to understand everything. Control everything. Hold everything ourselves.

To wonder what might hold us.

Nothing to fix.
Nothing to force.

And perhaps, to be moved again.
