Home of the Flamelight Gatherings
Experience the first Flamelight Gathering synthesizing original poetry, music, art and storytelling in celebration of being human. Flamelight Gatherings (AKA Home Concerts with Heart) illuminate a vision for Spokane to embrace artists and non-profits by hosting gatherings that cultivate meaning, creativity and connection through intentional gatherings featuring original and local art. This gathering features the band the Lunar Lanterns (Beck Burson, Sean Burson, Bogdan Mohora and Duff Overstreet), poetry from Christi Ortiz, storytelling by Harry Neff and art by Gatieh Nacario. Donations from the event support the artists and NAMI Spokane. “Dr. B” is a physician and psychiatrist with a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership. She offers outpatient psychiatry services through Alpenglow Mental Wellness. Through tens of thousands of hours of listening to the stories of others, she knows that what we tell ourselves matters. She loves working with “neurons and narratives”, constantly learning with others about what it means to be authentic and human and that we are not actually on our own.
“Dr. Sean” holds a Doctorate in Counseling and a Masters in Divinity. He continues to serve as a Chaplain in the Air National Guard after two decades in the Air Force. He also works as a therapist with Alpenglow Mental Wellness. He has a strong desire to bear witness to others as they wrestle through grief and suffering in order to make meaning. Knowing intimately that grief and growth accompany each other, he expertly knows how to hold space to help others feel seen and understood.

The intention is deep connection within our communities. This can be through collective authentic group work and intensives, integrations and retreats.
